 APPLICATION                                                                                      

 

1. All admissions shall be advertised at least two months before the commencement of classes through daily national news papers and any other appropriate means of advertisement.

 

2. Admissions shall be applied on the prescribed application form along with a prospectus available at the PRGTTI-Campus.

 

3. The application shall be duly filled and signed by the candidate. Requisite photocopied documents namely: Educational Testimonial's, Experience Certificate's and NIC along with two photographs shall be attached with the application form. In case of a company nomination, a nomination letter from the company shall also be attached.

 

 4.    4. The application for admission in any course of a batch shall be received till the available seats are filled or otherwise up to 15 days of the commencement of classes. Application received after 15 days of the commencement of classes, shall be treated for the next batch.

 

5. Commencement of each course is subject to number of admissions.

 

 6.     6. Admissions shall be allowed after all the applications are scrutinized and verified. The Institute reserves the right to deny admission to any one without declaring any reason whatsoever.

 

7. The candidates shall be given a written test or an interview or both for some of the courses. The objective of the test is to access the aptitude of a candidate for a course opted for.

 

 FEES

 

8. The Institute reserves right to revise fees without any prior notice

.

9. All candidates are required to get themselves registered with the institute with a one time payment of 20% of the course fees applied for, valid for 2 years from the date of registration. Registration of students shall be open around the year.

 

10. The tuition fees are received in advance for the short certificate courses. However, the principal can allow at most two to three equal installments to the deserving candidates.

 

11. The installments of fees shall be paid within due dates, If not paid within maximum of 7 days after the due date, the name of the candidate will be struck off from the course and will be re-admitted upon the payment of the balance installment along with fine of Rs. 500/- within 7 days of the date of struck off. After 7 days of the struck off date, the candidate will only be admitted on payment of full fees of the course.

 

12. If a candidate through a written application withdraws his / her admission before the commencement of classes, full amount shall be refunded upon producing the payment receipt.

 

13. If a candidate admitted on either self financed basis or industry nomination, through a written application, withdraws his admission within 7 days after the commencement of the classes, 50% of the tuition fees shall be retained and remaining will be refunded to the candidate upon producing the payment receipt. There shall be no refund after 7 days of the commencement of the classes.

 

14. If a candidate admitted on either self financed basis or industry nomination, fails to attend the classes regularly, due to any official or a medical reason only and within 15 days of the commencement of classes, through a written application, request to shift his / her admission to the next batch (backed by a proper certificate from the employer or a medical practitioner). One month tuition fees shall be retained and remaining tuition fess will be shifted / transferred to the next batch, and in the next batch short fees of one month shall be paid by the candidate or the employer as the case may be.

 

15. If a candidate admitted on nomination basis, fails to attend the classes, and within 30 days of the commencement of classes the nominating company through a written request applies to shift the admission to the next batch, they shall be allowed on payment of half of the tuition fee of the course of next batch.

 

SCHOLARSHIPS                                                                                  

 

16. For a scholarship, the candidate shall apply on the prescribed application form along with complete documentation and a written request explaining the circumstances to be eligible for scholarship.

 

17.  Scholarships are available only if offered from the industry. Scholarship cannot be claimed as a matter of right, it shall be entirely at the discretion of the competent authority to grant, refuse, revoke or postpone any scholarship applied for by a candidate.

 

18.  Upon approval of the scholarship, the candidate is informed and is required to pay Rs. 500/- as registration fee.

 

19.  The authority for the approval / grant of scholarships shall be the “Scholarship Committee”.

 

20.  The scholarship awarded to a candidate lapses if at any stage of the course the attendance of the candidate falls below 80%.

 

ATTENDANCE                                                                                                     

 

21. A student is only allowed to avail maximum of 3 consecutive leaves at one time with a prior request through mail or email. In case of a real emergency, the institute office could be informed on telephone backed by an application. Student name shall be struck off after 3 consecutive absents without informing the institute office.

 

22. The name of the student availing more than 3 consecutive leaves will be struck off unless a proper medical certificate or an employer’s certificate is produced mentioning the reason for the leaves.

 

23. Students / nominating companies are requested to release them from their duties during the class days so that they could reach at least 15 minutes before the class. However if not a habit, the student may be allowed to enter the class max. 30 minutes late, after which absent shall be marked.

 

LECTURES                                                                                       

 

24. Lectures shall begin at specified time with the duration from 2 to 3 hours.

 

25. The medium of instructions are English \ Urdu and the lecture notes are provided in English \ Urdu to the class Representative (CR) with whom the students can coordinate to get a copy.

 

26. All modern means of delivering lectures and imparting training shall be used including Lectures, Multimedia Presentations, Industrial Visits, Training Videos, Guest Speakers, Group Discussions, Class Exercises, In-House Practical, Assignments and Presentations.

 

ASSESSMENT PROCEDURES                                                               

 

27. There will be two term exams First Term and Mid Term of 150 marks each with 70 percent practical and 30 percent theory. At the end there will be a final exam of 200 marks with theory of 100 marks Final Project of 100 marks. During the course work there shall be drop quizzes to access the progress.

 

28. A student must pass at least one term exam to be eligible for the final exam. If a student misses or fails to pass in any one term exam and or the final exam, he / she must appear in the supplementary exam for both on payment of Rs. 350/- each, as supplementary exam charges. The supplementary exam will be held 15 days after the final exam and if he \ she misses or fails in the supplementary exam, he \ she will be disqualified and if still interested must take fresh admission in the next batch.

 

GENERAL CONDUCT                                                                             

 

29. A student of the Institute shall be deemed to be guilty of misconduct, and will face cancellation/suspension of registration if he/she:

 

  a. Fails to comply with the rules and regulations of the Institute.

 

  b. Fails to supply correct information to the Institute.

  c. Fails to comply with any of the directives issued by the management of the Institute.

 

  d. Involves himself/herself in such activities, which cause damage to the image of the Institute.

 

  e. Uses unfair means in an examination.

 

  f.  Found indulging in under-hand dealing with any official or officials of the Institute.

 

 g.  In the event of any misconduct or breach of any regulations by a registered student the  Institute may, if it is satisfied after such investigation as it may deem necessary, and after giving an opportunity of being heard, suspend or cancel the registration of the student.

 

 h. Registration of a student shall be cancelled and all fees paid shall be forfeited if educational documents are found fake at any later stage.

 

30. The students are required to observe discipline at all times.

 

31. The students will not be allowed to invite any guest in the Institute without prior written approval of the principal.

 

32. The students are forbidden from indulging in any political activity in the campus. Necessary punitive action will be taken against those who are found to be involved in such activities.

 

33. It is mandatory for all students to remain in the premises of the Institute during the study hours.

 

34. Unauthorized absence from the class will be considered a serious break of conduct resulting in strict disciplinary action. In case of illness, students will be required to submit medical certificate from the registered medical practitioner, countersigned by designated physician.

 

35. Any damage caused to the property of the Institute including laboratory equipment, machinery, computers, printers, furniture & fixtures, library books or any other thing in the premises will be considered as serious act of indiscipline and the students will be asked to compensate as determined by the appropriate authority.

 

36. All the student must have in their possession valid I. D. Cards issued by the Institute otherwise they would be stopped from entering the centre.

 

37. The students who do not have the valid I. D. Cards will not be allowed to appear in the examination.

 

38. Chalking is strictly prohibited and necessary action will be taken against those students who are found indulged in chalking the premises.

 

39. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the Center’s premises.

 

40. All the co-curricular and extra-curricular activities will be arranged with the due approval of the principal.

 

41. The student found misbehaving with any faculty member or the administrative staff will be dealt with as per disciplinary rules of PRGTTI-Lahore.

 

42.  The student will be required to maintain neat and clean dressing.

The Institute’s authority reserves the right to amend, change or modify these rules at any time without giving any prior notice.
